Our client, a thriving organisation that specialises in personal injury, clinical and medical negligence law, has a vacancy in West Yorkshire for a Personal Injury Claims Advisor.  The successful applicant will work as a member of a supportive team and will manage new client claims.  The role involves responding to a consistently high volume of personal injury enquiries (relating to potential Road Traffic Accident, Employers Liability, Public Liability and Clinical/Medical Negligence claims) over the phone. Evaluating the legal issues relating to those enquiries. Identifying the enquiries which meet strict criteria and introducing those clients to the firm's specialist panel solicitors.  In addition to achieving set key performance targets for both the team and individually, the successful applicant will ensure that all enquiries are handled in accordance with service level agreements and Claims Management Regulations.

Applicant Requirements

It is essential and non-negotiable, to hold a Law degree, postgraduate Diploma in Legal practice or an equivalent qualification. Knowledge and understanding of the personal injury claims process. It is desirable to have experience of assessing or handling personal injury claims within a claims management/legal services environment. Experience of working in a target-driven and client-focused environment. 

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package, especially Word and Excel.  Commitment to delivering a high quality service. Ability to engage with customers and colleagues and to remain calm and objective under pressure. The ability to build rapport and empathise with clients.  Self-motivated, confident and proactive.  Able to work collaboratively with others, to  organise and prioritise work and to manage time effectively.  Able to display an attention to detail. Professional and friendly at all times.  The ability to talk on the phone whilst simultaneously recording information on a case management system. Able to solve problems and use own initiative.  Excellent keyboard/typing skills.
