Commercial insurance brokerage based in Leeds has a vacancy for an AR Business Development Manager. The role will involve developing new and nurturing existing Appointed Representatives relationships to increase the flow of new business enquiries to ensure high retention ratios at renewal. Managing the supervision of Appointed Representatives by holding regular calls and meetings in accordance with Appointed Representative procedures.  Managing workload, training and mentoring Appointed Representative Account Handlers. Ensuring business is broked and placed correctly with preferred markets and maintaining high levels of service to other team members, customers and suppliers.  Will be responsible for ensuring that renewal and new business risks are broked and placed correctly with the preferred markets. Working with Appointed Representatives to renew cases and manage their renewal database. Ensuring that documentation that is sent to insurers is accurate and complete.  Dealing with Appointed Representative queries swiftly and accurately.

To develop and maintain good relations with underwriters. Ensuring that all Appointed Representative renewals include the Complete Sale & Appointed Representatives are provided with quotes in adequate time, including Health & Safety. Ensuring all new Appointed Representatives receive full training on the company's systems and procedures following the company's training programme. To help develop and maintain systems and procedures for compliance with the regulators. Working with Appointed Representatives by holding regular calls and meetings in accordance with company procedures. Updating CRM system for all new business and renewal quotes. Ensuring that all Appointed Representatives receive a high level of support and are dealt with in an efficient, friendly and professional manner at all times.

Applicant Requirements

The prospective applicant will be Cert CII (minimum) but preferably Dip CII or working towards this.  Will have a good understanding of a variety of commercial business classes.  Able to comply with the company's working practices and have good communication skills.  Must be able to work as part of a team with good organisational skills.
