Our client a major international broker, is currently recruiting a Business Development Executive to join the National corporate team in South Yorkshire. The primary responsibility of the role is to initiate, build and strengthen relationships with new clients by delivering the desired client experience and value proposition. Main responsibilities will involve accountability for account planning for all prospects and co-ordinating all prospect activity. Articulating the sales plan. A full understanding and ability to articulate the value delivered by the company and effectively lead remuneration negotiations. Actively building relationships across the company and exploiting cross selling opportunities. Effective analysis driven risk financing strategy, including program design and marketing, with prospects to meet their needs where appropriate.
Managing the sales process. Understanding the prospect, their industry and their risks. Understanding the clients needs and matching them with company Solutions. Contributing to the team's sales strategy. Effectively managing pipeline and opportunities. Developing and maintaining effective prospect relationships using best practice sales techniques. Accountability for adherences to business processes, systems and procedures. Will be responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures. Responsible for working in accordance with and in compliance with the company's policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group company.
Will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent or will have proven on the job insurance experience. Will have excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong client management relationship skills and technical commercial insurance knowledge. Strong influencing and negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem solving skills with strong business acumen. A proven background in Business Development or an Account Executive looking to move into sales. Strong technical commercial insurance knowledge across all major classes. The ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service. A good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
