Our client, a well respected insurance organisation has an opportunity in North Yorkshire for an experienced Team Leader. The role will involve leading and actively performance managing a team to deliver a set of agreed business objectives and outstanding performance. Ensuring the team's day-to-day servicing and administration of client insurance requirements is completed in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner, in accordance with the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and providing fair customer outcomes.
You will be involved in coaching and developing individuals to increase overall capability using specialist knowledge and experience and managing referrals from team members offering technical coaching and guidance where appropriate. To be involved in compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations.
Responsible for the implementation of all the Group's procedures and policies in relation to the identification and management of potential conflicts of interest and for the fair treatment of customers, and ensure adequate systems and controls are in place. Supporting and encouraging team members to identify gaps in existing client cover and provide solutions as appropriate. Ensuring that staff appraisals and monthly 1-1s are carried out and documented in a timely manner. Undertaking training in line with agreed objectives and keeping up to date with technical, legal and market developments. Supervising and supporting less experienced team members and ensuring Personal Development records are updated accordingly.
You will have a strong technical background in commercial insurances, together with previous experience of leading teams. Progress with insurance qualifications is preferred.
