Job Profile

National Contracts & Repair Manager is required by our client for a key national role.  You will lead and manage the procurement and the service delivery of our client's national network of Repair & Remedial Works Contractors and; to ensure that all repair projects are executed in a commercially viable, efficient and effective manner and that excellent customer service and high quality repairs are delivered.  Also to ensure that for exceptional losses/major claims there is a robust governance framework for the selection, instruction and engagement of specialist investigators, consultants and contractors. The annual domestic claims bills is around £80m of which £50m is spent on repairs.  You will lead a team of technical and construction experts (quantity surveyors, contract surveyors and engineers) who support claims consultants in the resolving claims issues.

Applicant Requirements

Candidates should ideally have experience of implementing a procurement framework encompassing procurement management, robust governance and preferred suppliers for a construction/commercial property insurer.  You should be able to demonstrate where you have improved the performance of remedial works contractors/third party consultants/construction providers, in delivering against KPIs and SLAs.  You should also be able to show where you have successfully improved the performance of your team to over-achieve.  You are likely to have a surveying background and be MRICS or MCIOB qualified or if not you should have demonstrable experience to prove that qualifications are irrelevant.  Basic salary budget is up to around £75,000 plus 15% bonus, company car, pension and 27 days holiday.
