CLAIMS CONTROLLER who has gained 13 years experience within an insurance claims environment. Currently oversees the technical competence and training of the branch consisting of 40 claims handlers dealing with a wide variety of third party RTA, EL & PL liability claims. Handles complex and high value/catastrophic cases up to and beyond clients individual deductibles. Attends case management conferences with panel solicitors and counsel where relevant and attendance at trial if required. Gives advice and assistance to the department where required on all Personal Injury claims, RTA, EL & PL, usually those valued in excess of £25,000. Authorising of reserves and payments that exceed the referrer's authority. Most recently project lead the implementation of company procedures and training (national) in respect of the MOJ protocol for low value RTA claims and the wider implementation of the Portal expansion into EL & PL and including all claims up to £25,000.
Applicant Qualifications
Working towards the Diploma in Insurance/ACII. Cert CII - Certificate in Insurance.
