DEPUTY UNIT MANAGER who has gained 9 years industry experience. Has built up extensive knowledge of the mid-high net worth insurance market, including underwriting on the company’s delegated Lloyds scheme. Currently responsible for own book of clients and assisting the Business Unit Manager in the running/development of the team. Manages the workflow of team members, from allocating client books to running weekly reports to make sure work is completed within SLA’s and guidelines. Recruits new members of staff, from liaising with recruitment consultants, reviewing CV's and interviewing potential employees to making the decision of who is offered the role. Trains new employees and monitors their development until they are experienced enough to get their own delegated authority and pass probation. Meets regularly with insurers to discuss the development of each book, from general performance, claims ratios and conversion levels to ways to improve and develop these.
