Working from a home base you will be expected to assess damage for buildings insurance claims to determine whether claims should be accepted or declined, and to verify scope and quantum for accepted claims. You will be expected to convert customer contractor estimates to Xactware assessments and negotiate scope and costs directly with insured and agree a cash settlement or reinstate using preferred contractor. You will also be expected to provide technical support to the claims handling team for building damage elements of claims and first stage support to the customer service team for claims with FOS complaints. Role will also involve assisting the Supply Chain Coordinator with the oversight and management of local contractors.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate previous experience working as a surveyor within an insurance claims environment dealing with perils related losses. You must have a working knowledge of using scoping tools and ideally Xactware. Progression towards professional qualifications would be advantageous, but willing to consider an individual with a building degree and relevant experience.
