An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Claims Team Leader to join a claims department who aim to be the market leader in the provision of an efficient, cost effective, creative and professional service to their brokers and clients. Our client strives to be pro-active and flexible in management of claims whilst maintaining their integrity. The claims team works with the underwriting team in order to facilitate close communication and exchange of ideas, and is an integral part of the product and customer service delivered to their clients. The Prompt Resolution Team is a new team in Leeds which has been created to provide an excellent claims service on those claims which can be handled with a light touch and where fast settlements are in the best interest of our client and the Insured. The aim is to cut down on duplication, increase efficiency and response times where possible.
As the succesful candidate you will, under the supervision of the Claims Manager, lead and manage the PRT using best practice including regular 1-2-1's. Support the Claims Manager and other senior leaders in the development and promotion of the PRT. Take responsibility for an oversight of all claims handled within by the PRT to include monitoring and overseeing the progress of individual team members' objectives set by the Claims Manager. Ensuring that all claims handled by the PRT are handled in a proactive manner and in accordance with the Claims Philosophy and the PRT ethos.
You will take full responsibility and accountability for your workload of claims covering the varied classes of business handled by the PRT for the UK National Markets Claims teams. Be able to prioritise work, have good time management skills and be able to work to deadlines to see claims through to final settlement in a proactive manner. Have a detailed knowledge of policy wordings and their application for all the varied classes of business handled by the PRT for all the UK National Markets Claims teams. Support the Claims Manager in her oversight of the external service providers and TPA's used by the PRT and maximise the effectiveness of who they use. Ensure good and regular lines of communication exist with key brokers and that relationships are maintained. Act on feedback on claims service and address any problems quickly and escalate if needed. Contribute to claims team projects as required by the Claims Manager.
