Claims Manager – Subsidence – UK – Remote working up to £30k per annum

An established leading UK claims handling specialist who have successfully grown year on year are now seeking an experienced subsidence claims handler with a proven track record and experience in handling subsidence claims cradle to grave to join their specialist subsidence team.  You will play a vital part within the subsidence team by leading the customer through a potentially long claim process which is highly technical and will require empathy and patience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage your own caseload of subsidence claims from cradle to grave
  • Be responsible for your own portfolio of work
  • Support the Subsidence Specialist, instructing site investigations, CCTV surveys, basic crack and/or level monitoring, arborist reports and specialist subsidence suppliers
  • Interpret monitoring, arborist and CCTV survey reports and tree works quotes
  • Make assessment to establish the extent and value of domestic and commercial damage and repairs
  • Handle subsidence specific aspects such as correct ABI
  • Provide support to Claims Managers and the team, providing assistance with reviews of any subsidence related correspondence i.e. arborist reports, site investigation reports, scope reviews, structural engineers reports, loss assessor scopes, tenders etc,
  • Ensure any complaints are dealt with correctly
  • Mentor less experienced staff and new starters


Applicant Requirements

About you:

  • Experience of technical property claims handling and complaints within the subsidence field
  • Construction knowledge related to repair of a wide range of buildings
  • Specialist subsidence experience is essential
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good IT skills with the ability to use multiple IT systems
  • Recognised qualification with the CII and working towards RQF Level 4
