Property Loss Adjuster – London/ South – Remote – up to £40k per annum plus car and excellent flexible benefits package 

A specialist claims handling organisation who work closely with insurers, brokers and building service companies throughout the UK are now expanding due to significant growth, and are seeking an experienced Property Loss Adjuster to join their Desk and Field Adjusting team. You will provide a professional and high-quality service to clients and customers dealing with domestic property claims with some exposure to commercial.  The role will be very diverse by working with an interesting mix of clients with various service level expectations. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out site visits and assessment to establish the cause and quantum of insurance claims
  • Engage with clients ensuring they are treated as an individual, showing empathy and taking time to understand the impact of the claim
  • Obtain information and gather evidence through thorough investigation, taking site notes, photographs, witness statements and other relevant appropriate evidence.
  • Put together a detailed plan to conclude the claim, make decisions on liability, quantum and subrogation and risk management issues.
  • Maintain full communication between all parties to enable a successful outcome
  • Remain customer and client focussed throughout the lifecycle of the claim
  • Utilise the latest technology, working with systems and processes effectively and understanding how these operate and are of benefit to customers


Applicant Requirements

About you:

  • Be Customer Service driven with a passion for working with people
  • Property Claims Insurance experience as an Adjuster or desktop Adjuster – essential
  • Some construction industry experience/knowledge would be an advantage
  • Ability to make decisions, plan and manage the claims process through to conclusion
  • Be a problem solver
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience of handling complaints
  • Excellent IT skills with the ability to use multiple systems
  • CILA qualified or working towards
  • Full clean driving licence
