Building Surveyor – South East up to £55k per annum plus an excellent bonus structure, car or car allowance, pension, DIS, PMI, 26 holiday per annum, help and support towards industry qualifications 

A Global Loss Adjusting Organisation are now seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their Specialist and vastly experienced field-based team of Chartered Building Surveyors, Structural Engineers and Project Managers who are fully supported by a national team of specialist administration staff.  You will play a vital role with the business by working very closely with a team of highly experienced Loss Adjusters requiring further surveying expertise to progress and settle buildings related insurance claims as quickly and efficiently as possible. Your experience will cover both large scale complex projects and single, standalone buildings throughout the commercial, retail, leisure, industrial and residential property sectors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out initial site visits and assess damage to buildings to a high professional standard
  • Help establish and agree the defect diagnosis
  • Progress to ensure all planning, building regulations, party wall agreements and CDM issues are addressed and work is carried out to a high standard
  • Work closely with the team of Loss Adjusters
  • Arrange testing report preparation
  • Handle complaints
  • Write reports with budget costings and recommendations

Applicant Requirements

About you:

  • An experienced Building Surveyor within your field and ideally be Chartered MRICS qualified
  • Insurance claims experience – all perils
  • Enjoys the technical side of surveying
  • Ability to produce good quality reports and presentations
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of up to date health & safety legislation
  • The ability to produce good quality reports and presentations
  • Proactive – ensuring KPI’s and SLA’s are met
  • Able to handle multiple projects
  • Hold a full clean UK driving licence and have the willingness to travel when necessary
