A global Loss Adjusting organisation who are truly passionate and understanding by offering a flexible working model and by fully embracing and supporting individuals to grow and develop, are now seeking an experienced Complaints Handler to join their Property Claims / Customer Relations / Complaints handling team based in Glasgow where you will work part office and part home-based.  Hours Monday to Friday 35 hours per week.  You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of Property Claims Complaints ensuring the highest standard of customer care is provided to valued clients. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with local colleagues and regional offices
  • By using empathy and understanding, you will record and manage all complaints from customers and clients
  • Collate and share complaint information with claims handlers, loss adjusters and all relevant parties
  • Gather information and ensure all communication is logged and noted for strict compliance procedures
  • Work to agreed timescales to successfully manage client expectations
  • Drive a plan of action to ensure each compliant is dealt with to a satisfactory outcome and the customer is happy with the resolution
  • Work in a fast paced environment and pressured environment

 

Applicant Requirements

About you:

  • A sound domestic or commercial property insurance claims background – essential
  • Ability to manage both quantum and validations
  • Able to identify the best complaints resolution route
  • Experience in complaints handling
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to remain calm and professional whilst working under pressure and handling difficult situations
  • Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
  • Industry qualifications, working towards or a desire to study towards
