Working hours 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.
A global Loss Adjusting organisation who are truly passionate and understanding by offering a flexible working model and by full embracing and supporting individuals to grow and develop, are now seeking an experienced Marine Claims Handler to join an existing team of trained technicians.
You will:
- Assist in the investigation and settlement of claims goods being shipped all over the world by road, sea and air.
- Investigate, adjust or defend liability claims against carriers of goods worldwide.
- Become involved in complex issues of national and international law and commercial practice.
Applicant Requirements
You will have:
- Commercial and/or liability claims experience, however technical and complex domestic claims experience will also be considered for this challenging role.
- Marine knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written, listening and acting upon information given
- The ability to work on your own initiative and take ownership of your own caseload of claims
- Excellent keyboard and IT skills
- Ideally to have had some non-insurance commercial or industrial experience, particularly logistics or transport-related
