Claims Handler (Home Insurance Theft claims) Kent – Hybrid working - up to £22,000 per annum plus annual bonus, pension, customer review incentives, free car parking, gym on site & sports & social events, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Due to growth and expansion an established Claims Management Organisation providing a first class claims service throughout the UK are seeking an Claims Handler to join their Home Insurance Theft Team where you will play a vital role in the Claims process by being the primary customer contact in managing a portfolio of Home Insurance theft claims.

As a Claims Handler you will:

Liaise with policyholders and provide advice on general queries and insurance claims issues.
Be responsible for checking the policy cover, request and gather documents and information from policyholders such as receipts, photographs or accident reports, arrange for payment to be made within the agreed authority levels.
Manage a portfolio of claims through to settlement
Liaise between internal teams, third party suppliers and policyholders ensuring they receive a smooth claims process
Identify potential fraudulent claims end escalate through to the counter fraud team

Applicant Requirements

As an experienced Claims Handler you will have:

Claims Handling experience, preferably theft claims but not essential
Excellent customer services skills being able to adapt to each policyholders / situation and be able to handle and deal with customers who may be distressed
The ability to work under pressure and meet strict target deadlines
Excellent IT/Systems experience with good administration experience
