You will be required to look for new sales opportunities and arrange new schemes with new clients in the insurance/any other relevant sectors, particularly the automotive sector. You will also be required to manage existing relationships with your allocated clients. You should explore new market opportunities and look to establish new schemes that produce good volume and/or are seen as having the ability to do so. The role carries a target which is based upon total income from the new schemes which you secure.
Will be responsible for achieving agreed new business target: You will be targeted to generate £200,000 gross written premium for each financial year which equates to 40,000 policies @ £5 per unit. Grow the income for your selected accounts and assume account management responsibility for selected Elite accounts. Liaise with the other sales staff.Prepare and present new business proposals for new accounts. Oversee the scheme implementation process. Review product pricing, negotiate and renew new & existing contracts. Maintain the new business pipeline. Attend appropriate business seminars and conferences. Comply with all regulatory and legal requirements. You must be alert to possible corporate and operational risks and raise any identified risks with your line manager or the Risk & Compliance Manager.
Reporting to the Sales Director you will be self-confident and assertive. Will have excellent communication skills - written and verbal. A good listener, persuasive, able to build and maintain strong relationships and self motivated. Will have a good understanding of business principles. A good level of product knowledge. Good negotiation skills. The ability to work through issues and problems. Excellent interpersonal skills.
