A new vacancy has arisen within this fast growing, global company for an Area Business Development Manager to be responsible for growing your territory, which will be the North of England - Sheffield upwards, in a field-based capacity. You will have overall responsibility for developing and servicing your client bank and developing new business. Dealing with all insurance needs and requirements including; new business, renewals, adjustments, claims, surveys etc. Obtaining referrals and life referrals. Ensuring that firms systems and procedures are always followed in accordance with Service Inspectors duties and responsibilities. Cross selling other company products/services e.g. High net worth, health and safety, Group P A and Travel. Premium collection and credit control - refer any problems to the Finance Director at the first possible opportunity.
Experience of working within Insurance is essential. Field based experience, selling to high net worth clients. Knowledge of FCA rules and guidelines relating to commercial and private customers. Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of underwriting and related issues through formal and informal learning. Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
