Regional Major Loss Unit serving the Midlands for international loss adjusting practice requires a Chartered Surveyor to take up a senior technical role. You will handle losses from inception to completion in your own right, but will also act as a technical guide to a very strong team of general major loss specialists in respect of complex buildings issues. The vast majority of losses will be commercial, although there will be the occasional involvement in high net worth losses. Everything will be in excess of £100,000 and a large number in excess of £1 million. The quality of the portfolio, challenge and overall package are second to none and reflect the quality of this opportunity.
Candidates must be MRICS qualified and can come from either a building or quantity surveying background. Further professional qualifications through ACILA would also be advantageous. You will ideally have some experience of dealing with either commercial or domestic property losses in excess of £100,000, but consideration will also be given to Surveyors who have been working in either general project managed perils roles or subsidence roles and are seeking a change of direction. The role is home based operating throughout the Midlands, but there will be a requirement to attend the regional office in Birmingham. Basic salary up to £70,000 plus a generous fee-related bonus which could be worth as much as £30,000 annually, car/allowance, pension, private medical care and 25 days holiday.
