International loss adjusting practice seeks to strengthen operation in the UAE through the appointment of an additional Engineer to provide technical and specialist investigation and loss adjusting services on claims arising out of losses involving large heavy engineering installations including power stations, process and petrochemical plant. You will liaise between general loss adjusters, brokers and insurers on technical and financial aspects of engineering losses. You will travel to plants throughout the region to assess the nature and extent of damage following a loss. You will handle and report on all aspects of investigating, quantifying and settling complex engineering, energy and power losses. You will have the opportunity to deal with some of the most challenging losses that the profession can offer, and the ambitious will be able to forge a fantastic long-term career.

Applicant Requirements

Candidates should have an engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Chemical or Materials Science or equivalent with strong investigative curiosity.  Post graduate experience working in the power, process, petrochemical or other heavy engineering environment is an advantage.  You should also have made the move to working in the insurance industry. You should have excellent communication skills both written and oral and the ability to take complex technical information and explain it in plain English.  You should be prepared to travel both nationally and internationally at short notice to remote locations.  The position will ideally suit a younger (under 35 years of age) candidate on a bachelor basis who is prepared to commit for a minimum of 3 years.  Basic salary up to £60,000 tax-free plus generous bonus, accommodation, car, flights allowance, pension, medical care and 25 days holiday plus religious holidays.
