FORMER INSURANCE ADVISER who has worked within the industry for over 1 year. Main duties involved adjusting existing motor insurance policies from inception to renewal. This could be a variety of changes from address or vehicle, to adding convictions and endorsements. There was a strong emphasis on business retention which formed a large part of the role. Had a retention target each month which was consistent in hitting, as well as an expectation to save a certain percentage of commission for the business. Also dealt with complaints and was expected to increase the client portfolio by securing new business. Was also in a trainee management position offering coaching to colleagues whilst being FCA compliant. Until recently worked for an engineering company as a Regional Sales Manager with responsibility for a portfolio of clients in the North East and South Coast. Made own appointments, developed strong relationships with key contacts and was targeted to develop and grow accounts. Seeking to progress career within insurance.
