Trainee Insurance Claims Handler / Customer Services Advisor - Leeds - up to £22k per annum

As an innovator of digital solutions a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a newly developed and expanding Insurance Claims Team working for a renowned Global Loss Adjusting Organisation where you will be part of a dedicated team supporting a leading well known reputable household brand name handling new home insurance and home emergency claims, providing exceptional support and a first class customer service to customers. The role will initially be working from their Leeds Office base which will evolve to a hybrid role over time following training and development on their new and exciting product which is very much technology driven. You will be provided with full training and support to help you progress within the team, once trained you will manage your own caseload of claims ensuring that they are progressed efficiently with a strong focus on providing the customer with a seamless claims journey.

You will be working 35hours per week Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the first port of call of contact for customers with home insurance and home emergency claims
  • Use questioning and listening skills to take full facts and information regarding their claim
  • Input and log details on relevant systems
  • Liaise with and take care of customers during their claim by having the ability to keep the customer calm, showing empathy and being able to handle difficult situations
  • Deliver the highest technical quality with a strong focus on the customer experience

Applicant Requirements

About you:

  • Insurance Industry experience
  • Exceptional Customer Services skills with a proven track record in a high volume targeted environment
  • Effective communication experience
  • Commitment to gaining the relevant knowledge and skills for the technical aspects of the role
  • Strong IT/Systems experience and be technology driven
