Building Claims Co-ordinator – Manchester City Centre (Hybrid working) – up to £27k per annum plus bonus 

A renowned claims organisation offering full Loss Adjusting, Claims Management and Contractor Repair Services are now seeking an experienced Claims professional to join their Contractor Repair team where you will play a vital part in the Building Claims Repair cycle working closely with Contractors, Loss Adjusters, Insurers and the Internal Technical Claims Team. Your key role will be to appoint and manage the repair process through to successful completion providing the policyholder with a seamless customer journey.  

This will be an office based role initially to complete training on systems etc, which will then revert to a hybrid role working part-office, part-home.  Core hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm with a rotating shift pattern. 

The role:

  • Liaise and assist policyholders with their buildings claims from cradle to grave
  • Appoint contractors based on client’s specific requirements
  • Undertake initial estimate validation i.e. costs of repairs and scopes of works
  • Proactively liaise with contractors, policyholders, loss adjusters and insurers throughout the claims process
  • Manage contractors ensuring SLA compliance
  • Carry out calls to policyholders ensuring they are satisfied with the repair progression
  • Handle complaints and bring to a successful resolution
  • Provide updates to management and liaise with other Team Leaders ensuring the smooth running of the office

Applicant Requirements

About you:

  • Technical buildings knowledge
  • Claims handling experience
  • Experience of validating building schedules and invoices
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Cert CII and or CILA qualified
