BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER with over 30 years experience gained in the insurance sector. Has developed a good working knowledge of the commercial market, with particular emphasis on farm insurance and motor fleet work. Currently working with brokers in the region selling a number of commercial insurance products. Developing existing broker accounts as well as signing up new broker accounts by working closely with underwriting teams to ensure targets are met. Prior to this role, maintained and developed broker relationships, identifying growth areas within broker panel of 120 in the North East. Increased GWP and maintained profitability on accounts. Expanded broker accounts by means of cross selling and retaining existing business. Negotiated potential rollover deals with brokers.  Seeking an opportunity to join a progressive organisation that creates good team working.

Applicant Qualifications

Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Certificate of Proficiency Papers 1 and 2.
