TECHNICAL CLAIMS HANDLER who has worked for 9 years in motor insurance, with 7 years’ experience dealing with personal injury claims. Is currently an established claims handler within the technical claims team handling a caseload of around 240 claims (10-15% of caseload being large loss cases valued between £55,000-£180,000). Manages claims in accordance with business principles, departmental procedures, own authority limits and reserving guidelines. Performs a triage of new motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian, serious accidents to assess for serious injury and cases with a high potential for deterioration. Acts as a referral point for less experienced members of the organisation.
