PROPERTY CLAIMS HANDLER who has gained insurance experience within the commercial sector which has involved assessing and investigating buildings, contents, livestock and liability claims. Currently compiles, processes and records information relating to potential new claims, liaising with agents, policyholders, third parties and Loss Adjusters to ensure the facts of the claim are established in accordance with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and service-level agreements (SLA’s). Investigates, assesses and evaluates claims, within limits of authority applying criteria to prevent loss and fraud and appointing suppliers and experts as required, updating relevant parties and meeting customer service standards. Is a referral point and guides colleagues on more complex claims, technical and customer service areas to improve their knowledge and support effective decision making.
BSc degree and studying for the Certificate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
