SENIOR MOTOR UNDERWRITER & TEAM MANAGER who has gained 21 years’ experience within the insurance industry. Has gained 11 years’ experience of commercial fleet underwriting on both new and existing business, 3 years’ experience of agricultural motor insurance and 18 months experience of leading an underwriting team. Currently manages and leads a team of thirteen motor underwriters. His team is responsible for the upkeep and retention of £21.5m of motor business. Works closely with the Motor Product Manager to ensure rate and retention on the motor book help maintain profitability. Also handles renewals for agricultural motor and rural business motor policyholders. Is responsible for the maintenance and development of a panel of brokers, as well as dealing with a wider set of brokers. Senior referral point for colleagues from Renewal, New Business and Existing Business teams. Provides training, coaching and mentoring for less experienced members of staff to aid their development.  Seeking an opportunity to concentrate on underwriting without the leadership aspect.
