Technical Claims Handler

Positions exist within this major insurer in both their Leeds and Glasgow offices for a Technical Claims Handler to deal with a portfolio of losses resulting from mainly escape of water, fire and flood losses.  You will be expected to review digital evidence live from the insureds house with an on site technician.  You will be responsible for agreeing immediate actions and taking steps to mitigate the losses.  It will be then down to you to agree a drying scope with the contractor and compile a building scope for reinstatement and agree settlement either by repairs or cash settlement.  There will be plenty of training opportunities available and future progression within this growing unit.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate  previous experience dealing with the reinstatement of buildings related losses and would ideally suit a loss adjuster who is seeking an internal role.  You must have excellent communication and customer service skills and a qualification such as BDMA would be desirable, but not essential.

Counter Fraud Claims Handler

Given that the role is national you can live anywhere within the UK, but preference will go to candidates either in the Midlands or South.  The role will require you to travel but, as a technical referral point, the majority of work will come to you.  The key thing is to have the right approach and attitude and desire to pursue your career in a related but different direction.  Basic salary budget up to £60,000 but could be higher and the benefits package includes an excellent bonus, car/allowance, pension and 25 days holiday.
