National loss adjusting operation is seeking additional support in South East.  Working as a Major & Complex Loss Adjuster means that you'll be carrying out the adjustment of High Net Worth, Major Loss and other complex claims including escape of oil.  This is a busy role working from a home base covering Scotland ensuring you provide a quality service keeping with service level agreements.  You will maintain your own portfolio of losses with back office support from a central point, keeping policyholders, brokers and insurers regular updates along the journey of the claim.  Losses will vary in value, as you will deal with all High Net Worth losses which could range from £5,000 up to over £100,000 plus any major loss work over £100,000.

Applicant Requirements

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of loss adjusting experience out in the field, be self motivated and work from a home base.  Previous experience of dealing with HNW and or Major Loss would be ideal along with any professional qualifications such as ACILA.  Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have a flexible approach.

Working within the General Property team you will be expected to manage property claims ranging from minor damage to major to catastrophic events. As a Commercial/Domestic Loss Adjuster, you will be assigned your own region and mixed claims portfolio. The role will be home based with regular regional travel required throughout the Northern Home Counties with occasional overnight stays depending upon location. 

You will be supporting valued clients in pro actively handling and settling a mixed case-load of property claims, up to the value of £100k. Applicant Requirements

  • Within this field based role, you will be expected to attend visits from claimants who have reported signs of Subsidence. 
  • The insurance claims will be around 60% domestic and 40% commercial up to £100K in value. 
  • You will have internal support provided by the internal claims handlers and have a site pack containing high level details of the claim, policy information and any specific details.  
  • Your expertise will be to survey the property, investigate the damage and diagnose the cause of movement. 
  • Responsible for reporting on all specific details, feedback back to the Subsidence teams within specific timeframes to enable the claim to be bought to swift settlement as soon as possible.

  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate previous subsidence surveying experience and be a technical expert, a go to person who enjoys problem solving technical problems with buildings and structures.

  • You will also ideally have experience of insurance claims handling, but this is not essential as training will be provided.
